LCDBG Application Available for Review
The City of Jeanerette announces that an application for the F.Y. 2022/2023 Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) funds will be submitted for the following:
Activity: LCDBG funds will be used to add playground and exercise equipment, benches and picnic tables and water fountains to Jeanerette City Park. Also, adding a pavilion, playground and exercise equipment, and drinking fountains to King Joseph Recreational Center.
Objective: To provide adequate service for low-moderate income residents of the City of Jeanerette.
Location: The target area consists of all residents of the City of Jeanerette.
Amount: The City of Jeanerette is requesting $400,000 from LCDBG for this project.
All citizens, particularly persons of low and moderate income and residents of blighted areas, are encouraged to submit their views and proposals by January 6, 2022, to the Mayor at the following address:

The application is to be submitted to the Division of Administration, Office of Community Development on or about January 7, 2022. A copy of the application will be available for review at the Jeanerette City Hall between the hours of 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. (Monday – Thursday) and 7:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. (Friday) on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 to Thursday, January 6, 2022.
